Van Buren County, Arkansas, lies in the north central part of Arkansas, approximately 60 miles north of Little Rock, Arkansas.  The Ozark Mountains cover the northern half of the County.  The property lies in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, just east of Clinton, Arkansas.  The property is in Fairfield Bay, a subdivision along the northern shore of Greers Ferry Lake, a manmade lake built in 1962 on the Little Red River and covers 163 square miles.  

The topography in the area is hilly and contains many cliffs along the lake front.  The area is heavily forested with mostly hardwoods, however, there are many houses in the subdivision.  Utilities are in the subdivision and there is a boat ramp and marina in the southwestern part of the subdivision, Fairfield Bay Marina.
